Qustodio Parental Control App Reviews

  • VPN causes problems with Netflix and Prime video

    By gute4
FYI you have to turn off VPN to use Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Apparently both companies are now starting to block VPN traffic due to regional restrictions on content. This pretty much prevents the app from performing its intended purpose.
  • Love it

Cost more than the Disney circle but it block so much more and tell me ever download and lets me know ever key stroke
  • Wanted to love it....

    By Bummed Parents
We so wanted to use and love this app, as it seemed the best way to give our teens a phone, yet protect them as much as possible from all of the risks of a smartphone. It’s the one app that contains all of the stuff we were looking for. But....about 90% of the time so far the app doesn’t work. Daughter can go on internet freely, even though blocked on the app, and it rarely gives accurate messaging or location info. It’s just been a bummer for us, we’re trying to get our money back. Not worth it when there are many free apps that are likely more consistently working, and even though this has all of the controls we were looking for, it’s worthless because it rarely does what it is supposed to do. Bummer.
  • Disappointing

    By parent546793
I paid for the premium and in 5 minutes my son figured out that I can’t see texts that are sent thru other apps like houseparty. I love the idea that I can see his texts but it doesn’t help if he can just use another ap to get around it.
  • Idevices 2nd Class Citizens

Qustodio works pretty well for Apple devices, but was obviously made initially for devices that use the Android OS. If you’re an iDevice family make sure the features you want are available.
  • *Brick Warning*

    By dwsl3
This product does not work on my iPhone nor my iPad. Qustodio VPN does not connect to Wi-Fi and it keeps on trying to connect. And I cannot prevent the apps attempt to connect to Wi-Fi. Even after I deleted the app from my iPad the software itself was not deleted and it is still in “Settings” —> “VPN” and the app is stuck on “connecting” and I cannot stop the app’s attempts at connecting. How am I supposed to remove the Qustodio software from my iPad even though I had already deleted the app? My iPad is now a *brick* since I have zero Wi-Fi access. Customer support has not been helpful. It’s been a waste of money and time.
  • Terrible

    By Gwyndylan
Can’t log in to verify my account. Want to get help from their support? Well you’ve got to log in first. Useless. Look elsewhere for parental controls. Anywhere else. Flush your money straight down the toilet, it’ll be just as useful.
  • Worst app made

    By benjo the bich
So dumb it’s a virus there’s no other way to explain it’s a virus that just turns off your Computer/phone
  • Poor time management not easy to follow

    By Ppppppo645
Incorrectly calculated time spent on phone in every category. My daughter has a limited amount of time that she can be on her phone a day and this app grossly misrepresented her usage. It also logged websites in a convoluted way. It would log ads on pages she visited as well as the website she was on. Made monitoring very difficult. I would NOT recommend this app. As a side note I don’t like how they ask for the full years pay upfront... they know people are going to join and cancel because it’s not a good app so they make it a full upfront cost.
  • Easy to disable and makes computer hard to use

    By Bb jazz bass
Pit this in my 15yr Old’s mac. The reporting didn’t really tell me anything useful. The computer froze on numerous occasions. I often had to remove controls so my kid could get to certain website for school. Did not control Netflix at all and did not report what was being watched. My kid was patient with me for a couple of months but then just wiped her computer and the controls are now gone. Pretty much a waste of time.
