LinkedIn Elevate App Reviews

  • Potential, but the app feels rushed.

The Elevate team nailed the browser version when this version so clearly misses the mark. Even though the browser has some big issues too... On iPhone, I can't schedule through to Twitter and I only have the option for LinkedIn - cool, but that defeats the purpose. I can share through to Twitter only if I back-door my way through by clicking on the three dots in a LinkedIn post, adding Elevate as a "share to" option, and then pushing to LinkedIn and Twitter immediately, not at the "best time for my network. Also, why only show me reach, quite possibly the most useless social media marketing metric around? Views don't even work, either (I know they're only views for LinkedIn, this isn't working either). No landscape mode on iPad unless you go into scheduling. When leaving the scheduling, it breaks the UI. This is unfortunate for iPad keyboard users. Also, all the same issues as the iPhone. Please get it together. This has the potential to be a HUGE step forward for digital and social media marketers, thought leaders, and companies that want their employees to have a greater digital presence. These improvements aren't difficult. I'll be happy to update my review when the app is fixed.

Nice scheduling feature. Requesting feature for bookmarking posts for review before sharing/scheduling.

I love using this app to find stories to share and the analytics are incredible.
  • App is broken

There are no Pre-populated comments in the posts before sharing.
  • Something went wrong

App errors out when sending a message I write or copy and paste, but it still scheduled and/posts the message. And the returns back to the original screen where I have to cancel out to get back to the main menu.
  • Lots of potential but very buggy

I appreciate the ability to load the scheduler for the optimal time to post. However: 1) every post generates and error “something went wrong. Please try again” but indeed nothing went wrong, the post is scheduled and will schedule topost multiple times if you try again. 2) it seems like whatever I schedule posts an hour later or right then, making the algorithm behind scheduling questionable.
  • Needs hard work / redesign

Among many shortfalls and improvement opportunities apparently the developers haven’t heard that Twitter now accepts 280 characters
  • Worst typing experience ever

Typing in this app is atrocious. There’s no spell checker and the name lookup is incredibly invasive, making it hard to actually finish your message at times. Not only that, if I find a typo, the app crashes when I use the cursor. If I manage to submit a typo, which happens weekly, there’s no option to update the message before it goes out. You have to delete and re-share the content, which means tracking down the URL again and retyping your message from scratch. This is the worst app I use on a daily basis and I’m struggling to convince myself it’s worth it over alternatives. If you’re looking around, keep looking. I like LinkedIn, but this is a shoddy app.
  • Not at all iPad ready

What a horrible disappointment. Using a iPad Pro 10.5 and it stretches the images to as if it was made for an iPhone and is being stretched to fill the screen. Moreover... it keeps signing me out. What gives LinkedIn?! Expect better. C
  • Barely usable on iPad Pro 12"

I get one screen at a time, scheduling doesn't seem to work at all. Sharing never moves forward to "send"
