Microsoft Outlook App Reviews

  • Lacks a few basic features

I was looking to switch to outlook for all my email, contact and calendar needs because it is all in one place. However, outlook mobile still lacks some basic things that make it difficult in an all mobile world. 1) calendar search...why cant we search the calendar? 2) better contact editing. For instance, deleting a contact isnt available Both examples are things that just seem basic.
  • One major glitch, but otherwise a user friendly app

Overall a pretty good app. However, the app does have one major shortcoming: when your iPad is in horizontal position, emails display as if the iPad is still in vertical position making emails inefficient to read and respond to. Presumably a quick coding fix for the team at Microsoft.
  • Long ways to go...

Some of the simplest features missing i.e. sort contacts by last name are missing. Cannot delete contact, etc.
  • Bad update

Everything that the update claimed to fix has now become a problem. Sending an email causes the program to go into a constant updating mode and doesn’t send the email. In addition it locks up the whole program. I need to shut the program down for it to stop locking up.
  • Used to be so good :(

The most recent update to the Outlook app has been awful. The app is slower, crashes now, and is more confusing to use than before. For now I’d recommend choosing a different email app.
  • Collapse mail folders

Add the capability to collapse mail folders would be appreciated by my fingers and save time as I spin around a few hundred sub folders. I am sure it requires some coordination with Exchange servers but you are Microsoft after all and this can’t be rocket science!
  • Spam filtering

Does anybody know how to set filtering rules? I can’t seem to find an option and I’ve looked basically everywhere.
  • Love it, except

Why is it I have to delete spam and trash several times to get rid of it? Also, once an email is moved to the spam folder, why do I still get mail from the same sender in my inbox? After the sender has been sent to spam all future emails should also be sent to spam. Both items are extremely annoying and why I can only give this app four stars.
  • Better than OS

It’s more simple than the iPhone email system.
  • Outlook Calendar sync does not work

Unable to sync windows 10 outlook calendar with iPhone iOS 12.1.2 outlook calendar when e-mail is sourced from Yahoo. Online help was weak and Microsoft Support was worthless and not at all helpful
