Downloading is still very erratic between articles.
  • Useful app, needs search

I use the app regularly, but I miss a search capability. We get the paper as well (yes really), and when I see an article in print and want to share it, I need to hunt and hunt through the app in an attempt to find it. Or if I suspect there might be a review of a concert the night before, I want to simply search for the artist’s name.
  • Jumpy and hate ads

I concur with other users of this app. It is quite jumpy and having to go back to the home screen to find another article is a pain. It doesn’t log what I have read and sometimes the home screen gets mucked up upon return or reorganizes the articles...leaving me to wonder where I left off. I pay a subscription fee for both the paper and digital copies of this newspaper. I should have the ability to turn ads off. I HATE ads in apps. They completely ruin the experience. I do like the font face.
  • FONT SIZE

This is a great source for local news. The best, in fact. But it is ruined by the microscopic sized fonts. There are two font sizes from which you can choose in this app ... minuscule or super-tiny. Take your pick. What were their developers thinking when they designed this app?

They should pay me it is nothing but ads on my iPad it is truly a digital paper I only see the ads that appear in the paper edition on my iPhone all I get is ads I’ve only been a subscriber for a week and I won’t renew for another month.
  • Clumsy and hodgepodge is right!

Compare the layout and readability of DMN to USA Today. I like the online version versus getting the paper, but DMN needs work.
  • Search function

The lack of a search bar is as dumb as a CueCat. Clunky and time-killing interface. Time to leap into 2010.
  • Ads!

I pay for print & epaper subscriptions. So why is every item shown on this app an advertisement? Poor customer service.
  • Dallas Morning News App Is Awful

The DMN app really is awful. Doesn’t match the front page of the daily paper. Too many ads and links that I’m not interested in. Annoying to navigate. Nowhere near the user experience of other major news outlets. NBC 5 app is much better. I’m deleting the DMN app until a better version is available.
