But, it ended up that I was spending more time making the flashcards than studying. FluentU really solves this." - David Brown "FluentU has quickly become one of my favorite language-learning tools. Great job on an aesthetically pleasing app and an incredibly functional one." - Justin Price "This concept in FluentU is amazing. It's such a great way to help you understand a spoken language and the way you break it down is amazing." - Demi Pradolin "This app is so fun and useful - the best Chinese language learning app I've ever used." - Richard Jun Learn a language with music videos, movie trailers, news, and inspiring talks. FluentU - Learn languages App Reviews

  • Too bad impossible to use offline

    By Del#82
I am using the Chinese app, it is pretty good, but the videos are not downloadable, even for a short time. So whenever the connection is bad, like in the bus, subway, plane, countryside etc.. It’s not possible to practice. I travel a lot, and this is very inconvenient for me.
  • I can not even use it

    By Bobington mc bob
I cant even use it without paying, therefore i am not going to. The reason i wanted to use this was because i saw an ad and was so happy. But i don't have any money and want to use this for obviously more than 2 weeks.
  • Picture clues don’t match questions.

I’ve only completed three 30-minute Spanish lessons, but I think it’s strange how cheap and silly the software is. For example, with “oso” (bear), the app shows a cartoon drawing of a deer. With the sentence that means, “You’re in school,” the clue/cartoon shows an owl in a box. There are men cheering at a sports bar while drinking beer for various questions, including “The men drink coffee,” and “The men are professors.” There’s also a cartoon of fish with an arrow pointing to one of the fish for the sentence, “You are a student.” So far, the pronunciation and pronouns have been related to Spain Spanish instead of Latin American Spanish.
  • Not good at all

First of all you are not supposed to ask for money for the first time someone opened the app like was excited then I opened the app and then it says three weeks free then I was “ok” then it says set the plan to pay 🤬🤬🤬🤬.
  • Awesome

    By Myfroggilbert
Done very well and worth the payment per month. Plenty of quality videos and lessons.
  • Dumb app don’t download

    By squishedley
Literally every video is for premium? This app is so stupid???you can’t do anything if you don’t pay a lot of money???waste of everyone’s time. Maybe you should stop being greedy and think about people other than yourselves, its not about the money money money~.
  • No trial

    By M.Shahnazari
This isn’t the way to go. You shouldn’t ask for payment right at the very beginning without giving the chance to the user to try the app for that supposed 2-week trial! Will delete the app now :)

I begged this app to take my money for 30 minutes, never got past the stupid free trial page...
  • great learning system, well made app

i'm a former professional linguist and have tried a ton of apps to learn new languages. this is the one that has stuck the most, and the price is absolutely worth it if you stick to your lessons! i love that for spanish they bring in a range of language from across different spanish speaking regions rather than just offering dialects from one country. i like pairing this with duolingo flashcards app, which is free. the combined method is really helpful to keep the heavy learning moving forward in this app with vocabulary enrichment in the flashcards
