Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. I purchased upgrade for babble for both myself and my kid. We both had difficulty with the app and gave up. I found that I could not repeat well the phrase the an accent that would be approved. It was VWRY FRUSTRATING.
  • Too many crashes and poor voice recognition

I like the content, but the app crashes too often. (I’ve only noticed this after the first 10 or so lessons; I’m using the Spanish lessons.) The voice recognition is awful.
  • Adequate app

The free part of the app is adequate. I’m not learning very much. Most of the features are locked and you could spend a great deal of money unlocking them. Correct spelling is required in this app and you have to spell the exact words they use to get the correct answer. Duolingo is a much better app. This app is okay but I was expecting something of a higher quality or to be less expensive.

Many years ago I took French in school, but haven’t spoken it for 30 years. We are planning a holiday in the south west of France and I decided to brush up on it. I have found Babbel to be very helpful. I started at the beginning and I’m amazed how much I remember and also how much I’ve forgotten. I have a sense of accomplishment as I complete each lesson. Hopefully I can remember some of it when I am actually in France! 😊

The Babbel app does NOT function properly. Though I paid a $29.99 subscription I can no longer “get access” after only a week or so from purchasing it. I have tried all of the tips suggested at the troubleshooting page: I have logged out and back in, I have changed my password, I have tried logging in with both email and my google account and NOTHING is working. I want my money back!!!!!!!!!!

I personally didn’t like this app. I mean if you anted to pay $15.99 each months to get info that you can easily watch a video off of to get the information go ahead but other than that you can’t get the second lesson of learning Spanish until you pay and I did not like that.

Not that good. And this app should not need an account. REMOVE IT. That's why I rated this 3star. Another reason is welll... this THING should have more than like two levels to chose. (Beginner and advanced) I mean it. Do these things and I will re-rate this app. Do idmiditly and I will rate it five right away and try it so I can do a review. Plsssssss do them. I will delete this until then. Not happy 😡😑

It is ridiculous how difficult it is to cancel the subscription I paid for a year and never touched it until I got a notification about them pulling more money out. I just want to cancel before they pull more money but I’ve been running in circles for a month trying to get my card out of their system.

I paid for the year subscription for this app and I’m use it every morning. I am learning from it, it’s fantastic. H owever, I am getting a lot of the questions wrong because of technicalities. For example when it says the to type goodbye in Spanish I put in adios and it says it’s incorrect and since ciao is the right answer. That needs to be fixed so both are ok. Little things here and there. Also, it would be nice to offer a Mexican Spanish course - the Spain Spanish that is offered is a bit different. For instance, “vosotros” is not used in Latin America. It would be nice if the text/images were bigger too - there is so much screen real estate - use it. The quiz section would be easier to see if the word was more center screen instead of hidden on the bottom. Little things like this. Overall I love the concept and the app is really useful. Keep up the good work! Muchas gracias
  • Good if you know Spanish already

I don’t know Spanish nor have I ever taken a foreign language. With that said I would make a few basic assumptions that when they speak the words or phrases they would do it slowly so you can understand and then follow it up saying it at a conversational pace if they want. Also I don’t want to learn how to spell the words just the basic language. The app has good possibilities, but for me I feel I wasted my money.
