Babbel – Learn Languages App Details

Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. • Poor way to learn

I’d like to get a refund... I’ve found Duolingo to be a better app to start learning a language. Babbel seems to be made for those already familiar with a language but want to become better. How long do I have to do you/we/they drills? Babbel developers feel no other words are spoken other than you/we/they.
  • I don’t understand!

Why do you have to pay for other lessons is there any other free lessons? They also are over priced for example the prices are: 15.99, 29.99, 49.99, and 84.99! The rest is ok but do you have to pay for the rest of the lessons?
  • Listen and Repeat

    By Denis Law
This is the second time that I have used Babbel to learn some basic language skills.Last year I tried Italian and enjoyed the experience and definitely improved my knowledge and command of the Italian language, which proved very useful on our trip to the Amalfi coast last year. I have recently started another Babbel course, this time in Spanish.I have to say that I am coming across the same challenge that I had on the Italian course. I have a Scottish accent, and am generally understood by friends! However,on Babbel when I am in Listen and Repeat,it gives me a fail when I repeat words, even the simplest of words like ‘Si ‘and ‘Yo’! My Spanish friend has complimented me on my pronunciation, but unfortunately Babbel does not! Finally,I have tried to put in a Nickname at the system’s request and I am up to my 8th attempt, and am advised all are already taken! I have even put in very personal data and it says this Nickname is taken! Really! Now up to 16 submissions!

  • Too many editing issues make it unreliable

    By Fr.M
Editing issues Unreliable Could be good, but how can you trust them when they have editing mistakes. Who wants to learn wrong!?!
  • Good but you have to pay

    By totallydilly
