Not compatible with iPhone 4/4S or earlier. The HondaLink® Launcher App enables a variety of Apple iPhone apps to be played through the Display Audio system of HondaLink equipped vehicles. The app also operates as a convenient link to download compatible apps onto your iPhone. These apps include the HondaLink Navigation App, the HondaLink Aha App (entertainment), the HondaLink App (vehicle information) and now the iHeartRadio App for Auto (US Only). The apps can work either in standalone mode (for use when not driving) or when connected to Honda vehicles equipped with the HondaLink-ready technology. NOTE: Use of HondaLink apps in the vehicle requires an HDMI cable connector, Apple lightning adapter, and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® connection. See hondanavi.com or handsfreelink.com for more information or to order the HondaLink iOS Cable Kit ($99). Some services require use of GPS for location-based content. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

  • Uninstall Immediately if on Your Phone

This app made my Navigation/radio so unstable, I could drive 10 minutes without a crash and restart of the radio. The Garmin navigation software would not be about navigate! My dealer replaced the unit entirely. Honda support both consumer and for the dealer both isolated the problem to an app on our phones. Guess which app was the culprit? 😡 My nav and radio are rock solid stable now. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I have my Clarity charging and noticed that the app does not show the current charge state. It stay stuck on the value when the app was launched. Sometimes it is updated when you close and reopen the app. This does not always work.
  • Not worth a subscription.

I really like the features but it doesn’t update frequently and works sometimes. I’m walking out ice storm now - would have been awesome (!) to have it defrosted prior.

Seems to be a constant loop that times out. I can’t read the information in the app without the app disconnecting. Bummed I use spent the money on all the attachments. Maybe there will be a firmware update to incorporate Apple car play.

App no longer works with Sygic Car Navigation where the maps display on the vehicles head unit b/c ios12 rolled out and the idiots at Honda have not updated this app in over a year. Honda’s Navigation app also fails to work for the same reason. Honda.....just allow CarPlay in older models....you are not good at this....,stick to making cars not car technology....you a$$holes.
  • Abject stupidity

I hope this is fixed in newer models, but in my 2016 CR-V these apps are just an exercise in frustration. They offer exactly zero functionality. I’ve gone to the trouble of installing all the necessary hardware to connect my iPhone into the HDMI and USB, and the car will only mirror the phone screen while the vehicle is in Park and none of the HondaLink apps are installed. Install the apps, and I get no screen mirror, ever. They want me to pay $60 for a navigation app when the free Google & Apple offerings are far superior? Abject stupidity. Honda has intentionally crippled this system. Don’t waste your time or money.
  • Definitely Needs Work

We’ve been trying to use this app on two different iPhones ever since we bought our Odyssey this month. Occasionally it will connect, but most of the time it just says “Connecting.” It is very frustrating when you need it (like looking to see how many miles you have left on a tank of gas) and cannot get it to work.
  • Didn’t launch anything
