This company falsely states you can easily cancel your PRO account within 30 days but you can’t. Don’t sign up for PRO. You’ll be stuck with your subscription for the length of the term.

I liked memrise better when it was free and going pro was an option. It's super annoying learning about 5 words and the next lesson is locked unless you pay.
  • Great app just one little thing

This isn’t the first time or method I used to learn Japanese, however there are a few issues and glitches that need to be addressed. Overall, I am satisfied with the app and its method of instruction so I did invest because my goal is to become fluent and I believe this will help me reach my goal.
  • Best app ever

WHAT I LIKE: There is pleasant and interesting variety of learning methods in each lesson, and I like the list of review words/phrases at the end of each lesson. WHAT I DON’T LIKE: On the multiple choice listen and identify pages, almost every single time it has the same voice and word/phrase saying exactly the same thing for all 3 possible answers. Such an odd glitch, and it has been that way for so long. And although it’s impossible to be wrong since all 3 answers are right, lately it has been telling me sometimes that I’ve picked the wrong one. It’s sort of funny and sort of annoying. Example, I’m told to pick the right recording for thank you in Italian. Example one says “grazie”. Example 2 says “grazie”. Example 3 says “grazie” (all in EXACTLY the same intonation and pronunciation). Let’s say I pick 1 (because you HAVE to pick something before it moves forward in the lesson). It says I’m correct. Duh. However, the next time I pick one of the answers for a different word (and all answers are the same) it tells me I’m wrong. This happens if I pick 1, 2, or 3. It seems a weird little glitch that could easily be fixed, and it has been the way for so long. I just tolerate it. FYI: the same thing happens in the French lessons. WHAT I’D LIKE THEM TO ADD: Actual “conversations” like the “bots” option on n Duolingo (right now I think it’s available in French, Spanish and maybe German with more to come ... check it out; it’s really clever.)
