I have tried several other weight loss options that claim they can also help change your eating habits for good, but after several weeks on Noom I finally feel like a permanent lifestyle/eating change is possible. The research and suggestions that have been shared are so helpful and as I have implemented them they have helped. Although my focus is to live a healthier and more active lifestyle, I am excited that I have lost 9 lbs in the first 5 weeks. I would definitely recommend Noom to my friends and family.
  • Loving Noom

So far I am enjoying Noom, finding it pretty easy. I’m still finding my way around but with time I will, I don’t feel pressured and I’m good with it. Thumbs up so far!
  • Great except 2 things.

Need a better food database. And maybe a monthly $ charge instead of 4 months at a time. The 2 free weeks may not be enough for a person to decide if they want to continue with the app. Then boom, 4 month charge is taken. I also think more people would try it, if the charge was month to month. Sometimes people have the extra $ needed, but 1 month at a time. I almost didn’t do it because of the 4 month charge. Otherwise I am really enjoying it.
  • Noom-Most personalmethod for weight reduction

This phone program is a psychological delight. It allows me instantaneous information, privacy, 24/7 access and motivational tips. I have discovered that Friday night is the most difficult night of my diet regime. It has given me insight as to how I sabotage my weight loss. Recording my weight daily I am looking at the graph are the best indications and motivations to losing weight. Thank you NOOM!
  • Bad UX. Ok content. Poor execution

First things first.. I lost 5 lbs in 5 weeks. Not the best rate of weight loss but I do feel better. I like the concept and I think it works. The main problem with this app is the UX. It’s counter intuitive and difficult. A menu that changes (how does the user know to click on messages to get the full menu??). Logging in food takes forever because I have to leave the section completely to log another type mean (lunch vs dinner). If I’m logging all at once it takes forever. The other problem are the typos and even whole repeated paragraphs. Is there anybody QAing this stuff? Come on guys I was tricked into paying $100. I would like an app without typos. The other problem I have is the labels on foods.. if I type figs it says yellow, other figs are red e some are green. It’s the same figs. One is from Tesco which shouldn’t matter... not trustworthy And lastly the way you convey information about payment tricked me into paying for 2 months when you clearly stated the price was $49 something a month.. probably wrote on really small letters you’d charge me for 2 months at a time. I’m cancelling my membership as soon as I can. ughh
  • Not for me

This app was just not for me. I didn’t lose weight. It was confusing. It also cost $150 after the trial. I’m not sure if that’s monthly or yearly.
  • Not all that I hoped it to be.

    1. From what I have read there seems to be in consistent pricing. I was told that it would be $140 after the first two weeks. I’m at Day 8. 2. When signing up you’re told that you’re given a “Goal specialist“. However I have not received one. When I received is basically a customer service agent. 3. I was told that I would be able to speak to my goal specialist today but reading Noom it tells me that I will speak to my goal specialist tomorrow. Again inconsistent. 4. They have a different system which is a green, yellow, and red coloring system green being open foods to eat yellow being eat in moderation and red being limiting those specific foods. So that’s different. 5. They seemed more calorie/low-fat focused. I have lost 7.8 pounds and today gained back 8 ounces so currently have lost 7 pounds and I’ve been sticking to the calorie budget between 1200 to 1500 depending on my workout routine. But on average it has me at 1410 calories. 6. Noom how do you log on daily and has all these articles for you to read focusing primarily on the psychology of how we view food and eating. This is helpful but nothing I didn’t really know. Or better yet nothing that you really can’t look up. But the fact that they have you get on daily I feel is a good thing to help try to keep you motivated daily. But from reviews that I’ve read after your trial ends the articles are bland and don’t really offer as much information. 7. Yesterday I went grocery shopping and I decided I was going to get some Jell-O and I opened the Noom system and opened the scanner looking for more “green” foods. I decided to scan a regular container of Jell-O premade which contained 20mg of sugar. That’s a lot. But noon said it was green. Then I decided to scan the same exact type of Jell-O flavors just scanning the sugar free one that had only 5 calories and no sugar. Noon put it in the yellow category. Remember they encourage you to eat as much green foods within your calorie budget as you want to your yellow are foods that you are intended to keep within moderation and the red foods are foods that you do your best to limit so why would 20 mg of Jell-O be in green and sugar-free Jell-O be and yellow? The same thing happened when I was scanning gluten free bread and I was scanning whole wheat gluten free bread. Noon says that while grains are green foods. I can’t eat gluten but make sure if I choose gluten free. I make sure it’s whole grain with as little processing as possible. 8. I honestly have done better using My fitness pal which is a free app but I actually pay for mine for the extra features. MFP has FAR SUPERIOR calories tracker system then Noom. In fact I have never seen such a difficult system. Most foods you scan do not show up and you ya e to manually put it in; a MAJOR PITA! They also do not use a macro system. I would love to know what noon is basing this off of? I have had every trainer that I have worked with and every nutritionist tell me that healthy fats are very important and a diet but if I have them with Noom it is a red food. 9. Noom is so SLOW connecting to my fit bit and doesn’t even pick up calories burned or exercises that fit bit naturally picks up. MY fitness pal at least can see what calories I have burned with My fit bit. I have yet to see Noom do this. So my frustrations: * Why is it taking so long to get access to my goal specialist. * Why is everyone’s pricing and duration on noon different (Mine said $140 for 4 months). * Why is their calorie counter so off?! (This one really ticks me off it is NOT easy to work with especially when you realize their color coding is WRONG). * And when I spoke with my customer service person via Messenger through their system I told her I was unhappy and she said she was sorry to hear that and just asked me if I wanted to cancel. I didn’t say I wanted to cancel I was hoping to discuss what I was disappointed with to see what they could do. I joined this for the long haul in hopes of reaching my goals. If Noom has the fitness pal tracking system it would be better. Noon you need to have your tech guys step things up and starting putting foods in! STOP MAKING US DO IT! We are paying for this. __________________________ Update: I was “suppose” to be introduced to my coach yesterday and she NEVER wrote anything. I guess she takes the weekends off. Lol. Either way I am back up 2.2 lbs (lost the water weight) and just fluctuating back up. Perhaps their system does not work like it’s suppose to. This is just NOT worth it. Last year I lost 15 lbs in 5 weeks using My Fitness Pal. Macros is what seems to help me and this does not do that. Wry disappointed with Noom. _____________________________ Second update. I canceled the app before the free trial what’s up. The reason I joined this was because I was supposed to have a “coach“ I never not once got to speak or text with this said “coach”. I never had access to any of the “groups“ this is the reason I joined Noom. I will tell you now please do NOT waste your money here I am back with My fitness pal and have dropped a few more lbs since then. The only thing I got from Noom is all the “ inspirational” writing I read daily. Like I said that’s not the reason I joined I joined for the coaching and for the support of a group and I had no access to that at all.
  • These people will take your money and not refund it

Even if you never use this app be warned these people have no actual contact support team who will respond to you right away and will not refund your money even though you contact the same day they have charged you. Your coach will not refund your money even thought she access to cancel your account and payment information. My coach name is Eva apparently since I had to download the app again just to get someone to contact for this faux charge of $125. Do not download this app they will rip you off and not respond to you even if you never use it once. I’m only giving this app 1 star because it will not allow me to give it Zero stars. They will rip you off and not respond.
  • Never got a coach

Don’t get the free trial unless you know you want the program. You can’t cancel unless you have a coach. I never got a coach, they charged me $149 for a service I never used, and now I can’t cancel because I don’t have a coach. I’m at Noom support’s mercy now.
