    Not impressed with the App or the charge for 8 months in advance. I would recommend not purchasing the services as I understood it was a little under $20.00 per month and i could cancel the services, but instead I was charged $159.00 up front. Do NOT purchase this service. It is a rip off.
  • Noom works

    Noom is a well-designed program for dieters. I totally recommend it. While it Noom has expected features like a calorie counter and daily weigh-ins, it also connects to the pedometer (via iPhone Health). A daily walk is part of the program. Noom’s strongest features are group coaches and a steady education agenda. Coaches provide positive reinforcement and answer questions. The education agenda is a series of daily lessons and quizzes designed to create insight into psychological and physiological aspects of dieting. It sounds scary, but the presentation is actually enjoyable, the quizzes are very short, multiple choice questions. There’s an introductory period that allows you to try the Noom approach before buying in. Check it out!

    When you sign up they don’t tell you you have to use the app to cancel. Due to vision problem I can’t work from apps. No telephone number for customer service. Bad.

    My only complaint about the app is that it doesn’t save my answers to open ended questions. I go back sometimes to try to review and it’s frustrating that my answers are gone. Oh, and I wish I could search the articles. Sometimes I want to go back and review a certain topic, and I have to search through, day by day, to find it. Otherwise, I’m very pleased with the app!

    Do not use this app. The free trial is only a glorified tracker, a la, My Fitness Pal, except with less features. They pull you into a 15 day trial, and charge you $160 before it’s over, there is no contact number and customer support is non existent.

    Noom is amazing. After trying numerous programs, Noom is the best and working for me! I have been using Noom for 4 weeks and have lost 10 lbs. I’ve also learned my tricks to help me on this journey. Easy to use. My coach is great! A wonderful app!!
  • Patronizing and shady

    This app’s style of writing and communication is so patronizing. It’s like a bunch of robots got together and asked “what do millennials sound like?” The language of the app is patronizing and the actual UX of the app is clunky and visually unappealing. The overuse of ridiculous hashtags (including such gems as #noomnerdslovescience) and the oversimplification of nutrition science, psychology, and exercise principles creates an overall effect that left a bad taste in my mouth. In addition, the only way to cancel your subscription is to contact your “goal specialist” and ask them to cancel your subscription, so you’re still getting charged while you wait for them to respond. There’s no way for you to cancel your sub on your own, and you have to have the mobile app installed to do it. That’s pretty shady if you ask me.

    After one week I’ve lost 7 pounds and I’m feeling encouraged ! Noom is different from other programs because there is a very strong focus on the psychological, emotional and motivational side of weight loss. I’m feeling very encouraged!
  • Very miss leading, don’t do it

    Very miss leading, I tried the app with the understanding that there was a 30 day trial period.. they charged me $149 when I cancelled and asked for a refund because I was way in my 30 day trial period or I was understanding that I was, they then said the app is only 7 day trial but the web is 30 day. Commercials are misleading, to get the most out of the program. You have to log all the time. It takes way more than 10 minutes of your day. Save yourself don’t get sucked in! Big huge mistake...
  • App could use some work

    Love the program so far. Just wish tracking was easier. Not able to pre-track for future days. You can’t seamlessly track or view meals for your entire day easily. When I click lunch, I can only see lunch items, then have to go out of the tracker part and go back in to look at breakfast/snacks/dinner. Should be a way to see all meals without so many clicks. Would also love to see a total of weight lost, instead of just see the graph of my weight from when I started.
