Hinge: Dating & Relationships App Reviews

  • Best app ever

    By Skinnygirlfan
By far the best app I’ve ever used
  • Freezes

    By jebejdi
The app freezes a lot or won’t let you look at your new messages until you restart it several times. I like the idea just has some poor performance.
  • The app won’t open

Or it opens and then closes itself out
  • Easily the Dating App Experience

    By Ableem05
The profiles are real. You can see who likes you and it’s a very clean interface. The chat functions like iMessage where you can see when they’re typing which leads to a much smoother conversation.
  • Joke

They show you hot girls to like, but they never connect. Only girls that like are absolute ogres. This app’s a waste of time.
  • Issues!

    By Fatmanlongjohn
There is an issue with trying to match people around me. I have my preference set to within 50mi and I keep finding people all across the country but not within 50 mi. Maybe I’m looking at it wrong but not sure this app with make it far considering people can’t match near them.
  • App won’t open

I keep getting notifications... app won’t open it just keeps crashing
  • Would be great except for glitches.

    By sdb92
I had just sent a reply message accepting a date with one of my matches, and then immediately the entire app quit. When I reopened it, the match was gone. I tried logging out and logging back in, then uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and he’s still gone. For an app that claims to try to eliminate “ghosting,” it sure is a disappointment given he’s probably going to think I deleted him without a word. It also deleted someone who “liked” me from my queue within an hour of them showing up before I ever got a chance to message them. Gave it two stars because otherwise it would be a great app and it definitely has better “quality” people than bumble/tinder, but the glitching is a dealbreaker for me hinge.
  • Messages not appearing

    By mel1574
Updated but my messages aren’t showing up in my chat. They appear in my notifications but not in chat. Frustrating.
  • It has promise, and a few aggravating flaws

    By Spazticus_Prime
Notifications are not consistent on either iOS or Android. Also you get basically three tweets worth of text to decide if you want to start a conversation. I can understand if we can’t send pics but it does seem limiting. Still, it might grow into a strong app as they’re clearly adding to it all the time. Oh, and an undo button would be nice (for accidentally Xing someone by accident). And an option other than ‘chat’ or ‘delete’ (maybe a ‘save’ or ‘considering’)?
