Glassdoor Job Search App Reviews

  • Awesome service!

I applied for a job, then used Glassdoor to prepare for my interview. The interviewers were ecstatic about how much I knew. Thanks to Glassdoor I was well over prepared.
  • Job App does it’s job.

The jobs can be too broad and the filters don’t always work but if you have patience you can make it work.
  • Pros: salary info, Company ratings. Cons: can’t kill emails or rogue listings

    By MNWild64
It’s helpful to have the salary estimates for a job or even the company as well as quick access to the reviews when looking at a position. The biggest way to improve is allow me to say “I never want to see jobs like this again”. Examples: the job that is posted in Denver but is really in Connecticut or the marketing & IT jobs that show up under the supply chain query. . . I got 4 emails so far today from Zip Recruiter. None of which were particularly useful.

I like that the Glass Door app gives employees and interviewees a place to give their honest opinions and that it gives the public a way to see businesses before they decide to get further involved, which is why I’m sure it was named Glass Door. Haha. What I don’t like is the part where you go to check out the reviews. The way it’s currently designed, one doesn’t readily know that in order to see the reviews on a company that they have to click on the stars or the review section AGAIN after they’ve already clicked on “REVIEWS”. I’m sure some people are getting flustered with that as I did. Since I really wanted to “see the reviews”, I played around with it a min or 2 until I realized that was the way you actually get access to all of them. That feature is annoying because it is asinine to have to click “Reviews” when it doesn’t immediately take you to the drop list of “all the reviews”. You see a couple but that’s it. Not all. So some may have to go about fumbling around as they’re not getting ALL of the content. That’s my experience. Please fix this.
  • Awesome !!

  • Great App!

The navigation between jobs and companies can be a little confusing (having to click on the picture of the company). I like to toggle between the company and the job posting, as sometimes an interesting job shows up and I don’t know much about the company.
  • Hard to use

    By UConn Fan
I had a difficult time figuring out how to change my preferences, cancel searches, even give reviews of companies I worked at when told I needed to do so.
  • Cant reset my password!!!!!

    By Spectacular_Girl
Please put out a bug fix due to I cannot reset my password on the app or the website. The app says an email was sent successfully but never shows up. I checked spam too. The website will let me click on forgot password and type my email but won’t let me click the reset button. Please update soon!

This was my favorite job search app, but now the app won’t allow me to save any jobs. Hope there is an update soon.
