  • Great app

    By malian609
I enjoy this app it saves a lot of money buying a book off ebook off amazon or a regular paper back book i can jump from book to book and don’t have to worry about the cost
  • All of my older saved items are missing.

    By GratiaPlena9
I have been with Scribd since January 2015. I purchased and saved many books, and bought many with the monthly credits now ALL of those books are missing. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNFAIR!!! Wow! UPDATE: NOTE TO THE DEVELOPERS AND SUPPORT, regarding their response, NO I DO NOT HAVE 2 ACCOUNTS! I have one account same user name, email and password! One account!!
  • Awful awful awful awful awful

I guess I technically can’t even rate this app because it REFUSES TO WORK on my phone. I am unable to listen to or download any of the audiobooks on this app. When I try, it begins to download and then stops. When I contact customer support, their only response is that my WiFi connection is not strong enough—my internet speed is over 500mbps which is 100% strong enough to download an audiobook, I know because I’ve done so on other audiobook subscription services! This app is INCREDIBLY frustrating and deserves 0/5 stars from me.
  • Not unlimited

The app is both unlimited and not. Scribd really should explain this better and ensure people see this detail when subscribing. You get unlimited access but if you continue within 1 series you will eventually reach a limit set for a 1 month period. This is annoying in the sense that you pay for “unlimited” but I’ve found it to force me to branch out more and find new books that I may not otherwise look at. If it were truly unlimited I would give 5*.
  • Not Unlimited

Before a week is up in each month, my audiobook selection is limited. I typically can’t listen to more than two audiobooks before I’m throttled. Books sometimes even become unavailable while I’m in the middle of listening to them. My search results are also limited which is especially frustrating since I decide which books to use credits on in audible based on what is available on Scribd. Plus, I like to save titles I want to read even if I can’t listen until the following subscription period. When I contacted customer service to at least find out what my limit is and to find out why I can’t even see full search results, I was told there’s no specific number and that it’s out of their hands. I’ve been a subscriber for years and have truly loved the service before their new, almost fraudulent, tactics. I’m filing a complaint with the BBB.
  • Three Years and $300 WASTED

    By +Tender+
I’ve used Scribd for three years to access piano/sheet music exclusively. Loved it for along time. In the last year, more and more of my downloaded titles (that were promised to me in my membership) have been removed, one by one. I only have a handful of music books that I play out of now and some sheet music singles. I’ve paid $300 into this service and now cannot access ANY of my books on my iPad Pro. NO ACCESS FOR A WEEK, NO RESPONSE (other than a canned email), MY DAILY REQUESTS FOR HELP HAVE BEEN DELETED FROM SCRIBD’s SUPPORT TICKET LOG. In the mean time, no one has corrected the issue or contacted me. Beyond frustrated.
  • It’s all a lie

    By ktb224
Don’t even bother. It’s a frustrating waste of time, energy and money. Try hibooks, same price and it actually is unlimited audiobooks. I listen to at least 6 per month but have over 20 downloaded. They never become unavailable. All are bestseller new releases, or bestsellers that have been released with in the past few years. The “article” they released to “shed some light on their recent changes” clarified nothing. Scribd is a complete joke. I’m not even sure how they’re still around. I used to be mad but since I found hibooks I’m all good. I am in no way affiliated with hibooks, just someone who after this awful scribd experience, appreciates finally finding an app that actually does what scribd claims to do.
  • Started out great...

    By TruexLovexWay
I thought I’d finally found a better alternative to Audible and the first few months of my experience were great. I didn’t listen to any books for two weeks then I came back to find that almost all the saved books in my library are unavailable until the next subscription cycle??! Even a book I was halfway through is now unavailable for another two weeks. This is unacceptable for a service I pay a monthly fee for, and it’s deceiving that they advertise unlimited books per month. I’m seriously considering unsubscribing, it doesn’t make sense to pay if I can only read one or two books every month and then wait until the next month for the next two.
  • Skips around

    By Ombar2000
Not sure what happen last update but books skip all the time.
  • Best source of audiobooks ever!

    By Ninafel
So much better of a deal than Audible! Almost as many choices of titles and unlimited books per month at no extra charge other than the low monthly subscription fee.
