I played this game several years ago and was really looking forward to playing it again, but the game is so freaking hard it is not enjoyable.

This game is one of my all time favorite games, the reason I downloaded it again. I gave 2 stars so you guys see this and fix it immediately. The game crashes when there are too many Chocobos in a battle at once . It has happened when I fight that many, and when I use that many (5). Please fix this it is very annoying, thanks!
  • Great game but poor control

I get that the developer did everything they could to make this touch screen friendly but that it’s the only option makes no sense. Most other Final Fantasy iOS games offer controller support but this one does not. While I appreciate they wanted to make it touch friendly the controls are still clunky and difficult to use on smaller screen devices like smartphones vs the larger tablet screens. I found myself frustrated trying to select the appropriate square or action at all times. Meanwhile half the screen is left blank which could have supported an onscreen controller layout for those who preferred it. If the developer we’re to add controller support to this title it would immediately change my review to 5 stars. Until then I can only give it a bonus star for being a great game that just happens to be too frustrating to play.

The first app I ever bought five years ago, longing for the nostalgia. I love this game and they did a great job re-releasing it on the iPhone. Just missing the online aspect to earn rare loot. Still one of the best investments ever!

Give us more control options. I would love to play this game through AirPlay on my tv with a Bluetooth controller. Instead I’m forced to use the touchscreen. I feel like that should be easy

If you’re looking for nostalgia this game isn’t it, the game is ran mostly by AI
  • Not made for iPad version.

This version is made for mobile and not iPad as you will not be able to play it full screen but with black bars on the sides. There is a separate iPad version that is full screen and more suited for big screens. Do not make the mistake of buying the wrong version for your device as Square Enix nor Apple will refund you if you purchased the wrong version.
