FINAL FANTASY III App Details

Final Fantasy III -- now on iPhone and iPod touch! First released in 1990, Final Fantasy III was the first title in the Final Fantasy series to become a million-seller, establishing once and for all that Square Enix's classic RPG saga was here to stay. The full 3D remake released in 2006 duplicated the original's success, selling over a million copies worldwide. Final Fantasy III was a hallmark of innovation for the entire series, from the job system that lets characters change classes at any time to the ability to summon powerful creatures such as Shiva and Bahamut. When darkness falls and the land is robbed of light, four youths are chosen by the crystals to set forth on a journey to save the world. -------------------------------------------- Game Features - New and improved 3D visuals and story sequences exclusive to the iPhone/iPod touch - Smooth, intuitive touch-panel controls specifically tailored to Square Enix's iPhone RPGs - Quicker browsing through the monster bestiary and other game records - New visual designs for the Job Mastery Cards -Optimized for the 4-inch Retina display. -Support has been added for the Logitech PowerShell Controller + Battery. -------------------------------------------- CAUTION Please note that when updating to iOS 7, Quicksaves will be lost. Kinda expensive for a game that can't even support all screens. But still a nostalgic game

Hello, can you enable iTunes file sharing for this game? Great game by the way!
  • Glitch Prevents Progression

In the Molten Cave there is a secret entrance to fight the boss which is activated by interacting with a rock. The entrance was able to be opened the first time. After saving and returning the next day, the door is sealed again but the rock is no longer able to be activated so as to open the door again. After googling around, this seems to be a bug experienced by others as well. I am disappointed to encounter a game-breaking glitch as I was otherwise quite satisfied with the game. However, $16 is too much to pay for something that stops working after a week.

  • iPhone X optimization

This game looks tiny, and honestly, awful on iPhone X. A full screen update would be appreciated, even if it is an in-app purchase.

This game was just updated yesterday and still no iPhone X support. The display is small and sometimes the game crashes.
  • Needs optimization

The game does not display in native wide screen and the resolution is stretched and scaled from 960 x 640 onto the iPhone 6's 1334 x 750 resolution which makes it look ugly. Please optimize for the new iPhones. Edit: 3 years later it is now 2017 and the resolution is still awful the iPhone X is out and all of Square Enix games look small and awful on this beautiful display.

Loved this game on the DS, playing it again on iOS is lots of fun. I really wish they included that lovely opening film that was included in the DS version though. I understand this might make the file size bigger, but I absolutely loved watching that clip!

I love how FF is the only franchise with the mental fortitude to make their games available for download as an app. It's a shame Pokémon or digimon won't do the same.
