Drivers Daily Log - Electronic Logbook for Drivers App Details

Drivers Daily Log is a replacement for the paper logbook used by commercial vehicle drivers. With it, you can create, sign, and maintain electronic copies of your logbook as required by federal law. It is designed to meet the latest federal requirements as defined in FMVSC §395.8 and FMVSC §390.31. Downloading the Drivers Daily Log is free but after your first 30 pages, you will need to purchase more. Additional pages only cost a few cents each and can be purchased within the app. You can see your current page count and purchase more on the settings screen. Further updates will also come with free pages, so send us your good suggestions and we will keep the updates coming. To comply with the law, you will still have to produce paper copies of your logs when requested by a law enforcement. This will require that you keep a working printer with you while you are driving. A list of iPhone/iPad compatible printers can be found at http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/airprint.html. Drivers Daily Log can record your location in the background so that it can fill in the remarks with the location you were at when your duty status changed. This is not necessary if you make your logbook entries as they happen. If you choose to allow it, please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Better than paperlogs and so simple.. using for 5 years now. never had an issue with DOT. Support the app 100%. One advice: by law you are required to carry paperlogs in case your device fails.

I'm a city driver and giving this app a try, after reading all the positive reviews. This keeps everything legible and in order for my daily log. And, I have a daily manifest to backup any 100 "air miles" issues that might arise.

The app is great, and editable, but unclear if it will update with the ELD mandate. Hope so at a reasonable cost, or onetime fee.

The log works great for my needs. The only thing miss is from city and to city at the bottom of the page. And so far haven't been able to find any technical support for questions or been able find out how to purchase more logs, it shows request purchase information in the settings but not getting any information.

I note it’s been a year since the last update. That’s too bad, since the current version doesn’t work on my iPhone 6 with latest OS (at the time of this writing) It launches, and I can make changes to the recurring data ( terminal, etc), but the log itself is not malleable at all. I had hopes.
  • Really?

What...you can't flag a stop under 15 min.? That's not good need to be able to flag a walk around or tire check...shaded area should reflect only 14 hrs from the time you start your day not the rest of the day because the rest of the day isn't available...doesn't show your current duty status...just some issues that need looked into...thanks

Outstanding app, get it. The auto complete could be a little better, but still way better than others.
