  • So close to perfect

So many great things. Three to fix: 1. Please, please, PLEASE give access to the color wheel when selecting a color for the pencil or highlighter. 2. An eraser that doesn’t just erase strokes in their entirety. Sometimes I just need to make a small adjustment, not ditch an entire line. To that end, if we can adjust the size of the pen or highlighter tips, perhaps we can have access to a variety of eraser sizes, too? 3. I second the med student/illustrator who wants access to an unlimited maze of folders, should his or her heart so desire.

  • Bugs in Notability and other Suggestions

    By Michael.Sun
*Updated Review* - 11/20/2017 1. Turning off auto-capitalization in the Settings won’t prevent the Notability from auto-caping the letters. Please fix this. 2. Automatic paragraph spacing must be allowed to be switched off. 3. Notability should offer page-formatting at a per-page level. This should provide a much higher degree of flexibility to serious users. 4. 5 options of themes, with 3 of them being in-app purchases, (Are you serious?!) are most certainly far from enough. If the developers do not have enough ideas for creating more themes, then they should allow users to create custom themes by themselves. 5. An UI update/revamp is long overdue. 6. Spelling check isn’t working properly when the sentence contains elements of different languages. This is particularly annoying when the user is writing notes for a foreign language course.
  • What happened to "Import to this note"?

    By CaelumMagnum
Love this app for taking notes. One feature that seems to have changed in recent updates is that, when I have a note already open in Notability, and then 'share/import to Notability' from another app (Safari), it changes to Notability (like it used to) but now it is no longer in the note I was working on and the third option of "Import to current note" (rather than 'create new' or 'import to other note') does not appear. This wouldn't be a huge problem EXCEPT when I'm recording audio for transcripts as part of the note I'm working on and the recording gets interrupted and I have to manually start it again after going back into the note I'm working on.
  • Best note taking app

I use it with an ipad mini and a wacom bamboo pen. It is a joy to take notes and scribble random things. I also like drawing mind maps with it.

    I love it
  • Ruined with update

    By BeenTricked
Most of the features that made this app good were taken away with the last update. I’m beyond frustrated. Things I did on a daily basis with this app, such as add documents and/or PDFs to a notability project I had open, or import to my project while recording audio without an interruption of the project or recording, are no longer working. And those are not the only two. Plenty of other things are no longer working. I emailed customer service and their reply was that these were known issues but gave me no word they would get fixed, no timeline. I paid for features that have been removed. In its current state, I absolutely would not have purchased this app. I’ve switched to GoodNotes for now.
  • Changed the way I study

    By Updkdn
This app is the main reason that I got an iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil. The ability to record a lecture and sync the audio with my notes is the answer to The problem of missing the important information that the teacher says because I was too preoccupied writing the notes down. Its ability to combine typing with drawing and taking pictures provides an unprecedented ability to excel in understanding what the teacher teaches the first time you hear it as well as a detailed record of exactly what the teacher taught!
  • Great app! But needs some improvements

    By roblemma1
I have been using this app for about 6 month now for college. It is extremely useful with my iPad Pro! I have been able to almost completely replace all my books, laptop and notebook. It is a super convenient app that will allow you to have everything you need to study on the go on any device with the app. Although this app is pretty reliable, I have two complaints that I would like for them to be resolved. First, when trying to import a pdf file from the internet to a note that has been already written, and selecting “add to another note” there is a bug that misplaces the categories of the notes, so the “easy way” for selecting the note goes away, and you’re left scrolling through all of your notes until you find the one you want. Also, it would be a great addition if one could have two notes open at the same time, because sometimes you need to see a note while copying on a blank one. These are two minor bugs that can be resolved easily, as the app is constantly being updated, so do not hesitate to buy this app. Its really useful.
