    The act of logging in what you eat each day makes you aware of exactly how much energy you are putting in your body and MyFitnessPal will show if you are burning that fuel off. This act of logging what one eats makes the user aware of their eating habits, thereby enabling them to lose weight and improve their health and well being. MyFitnessPal is easy to use and has become a “healthy habit” of mine. I’m excited to be using this App and looking forward to learn more about my eating habits as I improve my health.
  • I want to like it, but they make it hard.

    I’d be more than willing to pay for this app, but they refuse to add features people have been asking for. (Apple Watch complications specifically.) Every time I open the app I am prompted to set up apple health for my watch. I have. I did. Several times. What do you want from me????!
  • Screen freezes

    From time to time the screen freezes when I try searching a food to enter. The only solution I’ve found was to reboot my iPhone! Other than that, I love this app which I’ve used for about 4 years on a daily basis. I also love that it since my daily calories to my FitBit app.

    I need just that extra honest look-back at my food intake daily. When you DON’T record what you eat, little things escape your notice. So, for me, “My Fitness Pal” is a tremendous help in my battle with my weight.

    Only a few days in, still discovering features. A bit challenging to navigate all the fantastic features. Details on "how-to" would be helpful. Maybe it's there, have not found it yet. WAS able to modify meal goals to a carb cycling strategy...outstanding! Look forward to more time using the premium app, well worth the price considering the value it adds to your overall health plan!

    I would have given it 5 stars, except there are a couple of things that are either glitches or I just haven’t figured out. Like on settings when I was trying to adjust carbs, it kept reverting back to 150 even though I changed it to 100 multiple times. Some of the serving sizes they don’t give you enough options. Loved that even obscure brands were in the library of foods. That was awesome. So far I haven’t had to manually input anything.

    It worked for me. This is the first time I loose, 70lbs and keep them off. I’ve been on maintenance for the last 6 months. I think the most important thing is to be persistent and consistent. I like the ease of entering everything in and it tells me how many carbs, fats and proteins each entry has and calculates it for the recipes I enter and also for my compounded daily intake. I’ve been on it for over 850 days and I’ll probably stay on it for the rest of my life as I think it’s the only way for me to stay at this, my ideal weight.

    I've used this app off and on since 2012. It has helped me understand the relationship of food and exercise with my body. I had a few pounds to get off to get me back on track as I age. Instead of gaining 2 lbs a year as is the statistical norm for those 60+, I wanted to get my weight to a place where I felt healthy and then keep it there by the time I reached 60. I'm 5'8" tall and my best weight was between 125-130 lbs. In November 2012 I weighed 145 lbs. Now in November 2017 I weigh 133 lbs. I'm almost at my goal weight and have lived a very healthy lifestyle including healthy cooking and portion control. I splurge on every major holiday and never feel guilty. I follow the Dr Dean Ornish Healthy Lifestyle Program. I love the free MyFitnessPal app. The only reason I did not give it 5-stars is because the free app used to break down the complete daily nutrition from your log and it no longer does that as succinctly as it once did. Otherwise I would still recommend this app to all who are looking for an excellent tracking program with great news and information and recipes to help motivate you and keep you focused on your health goal journey.

    No joke. For a year we tried. Finally, I decided to stop going crazy tracking my body in terms of fertility and started looking at myself in terms of health. I started just by scanning my food and observing what my nutrition looked like. I didn’t get enough protein! Got higher protein foods and lower fat foods and lost down to 110lb in 1 month. I was 115 to start. But how about dieting and exercising helped me! After that one month I got a positive test! A great way to stay health conscious!
