  • The best available but needing improvement

    I've tried all of the alarm-based-on-sleep-phase apps. This one actually works, and has an okay Apple Watch app (which I don't use because I charge my watch every other night, and I don't really have a need for the watch app). The main reason I substracted 2 stars is because when the alarm is set and on, it DISABLES my Bluetooth headset, so I am unable to listen to audiobooks or guided meditations unless I completely disable this app. So basically, I have to completely wake up after getting myself drowsy enough to sleep in order to turn this app on and set the alarm. Huge issue for me. Otherwise, this is a 5 star app.

    This app isn’t tracking my sleep good at all. Most nights I wake up in the middle of the night, but every time I do this, my app tells me I was in deep sleep between the hours I was awake. The app also does not make me feel anymore awake and and refreshed than my normal alarm.

    This has opened my eyes on why I am so tired during the day. Now I can figure out how to fix the problem. The only negative thing is I can’t play the music on my phone at the same time. But I still love the app.

    I love this app so much. Shared it with like 10 people the first night. I like how it gently wakes me when I am in a sleep state close to awake instead of while in a deep sleep. It’s great!

    I tried Sleep Cycle for a little over a week, and almost every morning it woke me up from REM sleep. It just didn't work.

    Also, that I’m not getting near enough deep sleep. Being awakened by the gentle music is lovely and I am going to make steps to improving my sleep and, by extension, my mood and energy levels.
  • Alarms don’t work anymore in motion-sensor mode

    This has been an excellent app for years. But a recent update introduced a disastrous bug in motion-sensor mode: It turns itself off after about 2.5 hours. No alarm, no nothing. I downloaded the new version, hoping it was fixed, but alas it failed again last night. I can no longer trust this app. Neither should you.

    Works great waking me up. Love the sleep data, logs, and reports. Lots of customizable options to tailor it to your needs. One of my favorite phone apps. Philips Hue integration is flawless. It initially connected to the bridge 200+ days ago, and I haven’t had to touch it since. I wish every Hue app was so good! A feature to track, and report on how many times I hit snooze would be nice. Maybe it’s already there, and I’m overlooking it.
