Skype for iPhone App Details

The Skype you know and love has an all-new design, supercharged with a ton of new features and new ways to stay connected with the people you care about most. What can I do with Skype? • Messaging made awesome: More than just text. Send photos, videos, voice messages, emoticons, Mojis and more. You can also respond to any message from your contacts with reactions. • Great for groups: Add your favorite people and start chatting. Use groups to plan together, play together, for staying in touch or just for hanging out. • Call everyone - Skype, mobiles and landlines: Free* video and voice calls make it easier to stay connected with friends and family. You’ll also enjoy low calling rates to mobiles and landlines worldwide with Skype.  • Never miss a moment with quick capture: Quickly swipe to capture photos and videos. Make them your own by adding emoticons, stickers and annotations. • Share Highlights: Keep others updated with Highlights from your day. React to any highlights with awesome emoticons or send a private message about that highlight. Your highlights only stay visible for 7 days to your followers. *Skype to Skype calls are free. Operator data charges may apply. We recommend using an unlimited data plan or WiFi connection. Upgrading to the new Skype may result in the deletion of content from older conversations. To save photos and videos that were previously sent or received in an older version of Skype, save that content to your camera roll/photo gallery before upgrading to the new Skype.

Skype for iPhone App Reviews

  • Got worse

    By Patish18
Seems like it’s getting worse with every new version.
  • Lost everything I wrote

    By Queue-less
I hate apps that wipe everything you've composed in a text window when you briefly switch to another app to check on something, then return. For a messaging app, that's just plain stupid.
  • Changed settings

    By barbara12345678
We have used Skype for many years and all of a sudden on my phone it requires a Microsoft account whereas we have a Skype account which works with my husbands phone. This is most annoying
  • Integrated Calling

    By Nick Aceves
The option to remove integrated calling was removed. Add it back. I use skype on a daily basis but the integrated calling is annoying and I would like to turn it off.
  • Far away

    By 🌟Rockstar🌟
While in Iraq, used the app to call home. It been wonderful!! Mostly dependable (more the WiFi issue then the app). Im super thankful for Skype!
  • Still no 3D Touch!

    By Nathan Smith
This app used to have it and they took it away. Why Microsoft can’t get their act together and put it on is beyond me.
  • group section disabled

    By antonio 3276
why you disabled group section in new version?
  • This App ROCKS!!

I am a vocal coach and I've been teaching over a Skype connection to Europe and the USA for a little over a year now, but boy oh boy this new Skype feature enables me to practically work in realtime, creating piano scales within the 2-minute time limit and transmitting them within the chat window to my pupils who then play them back to work with me on the call. An absolutely AMAZING app! Voice coaching on Skype has never been easier. And the connection is the best it's ever been on Skype. I'm over the moon with excitement. This app makes my work all the more easy and great fun. I love it!
  • Terrible

    By Hairybeast212
I don’t know what you’ve done or why, but you’ve now completely screwed up Skype. Unusable.
  • Great product

    By Jmt092899
Used this while deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq as it was a great link with my family at home.
