  • Prettier than my fitness pal

But not as functional. Entering everything you eat is a pain but essential for loosing weight. This app doesn’t let you search restaurants to import recipes.

Easy to use app when logging food and counting calories. At the end of the day, the graph shows you the percentage of fat, protein, and carbohydrates you consumed. Improvements have made it very easy to record your weight, wether you track daily, weekly, monthly, or occasionally. It is also an encouraging app, telling you when you have done a great job tracking or losing weight and even when you will be projected to meet your goal. It also tells you when you have gone under or over your daily caloric allowance. It never scolds when you go over (just shows red area on the graph); however, it has warned me when I go under and gives recommended daily caloric intake for safely losing weight. My advice is allow yourself the maximum calories for your weight loss journey and then go under that amount if you want to speed up your weight loss. As a woman, I allowed myself only 1100 calories daily and was discouraged when I went over. I changed to 1300 and now feel great that I rarely consume that much. I love the feature of being able to scan a barcode and have your nutritional information import. The only downside is that users can share information when creating a new food that is not on the list of foods, and sometimes this information is outdated or incorrect. This means multiple entries of the same food, and you have to scroll through them. For example, I looked up a frozen dinner which had numerous entries stating 310 calories and 20 g of fat (Atkins). My box said 300 calories and 21 g of fat. My entry was not listed; therefore I created a new listing which only requires you to enter the calories (less time consuming), but you can also enter fat, carbs, sodium, etc. i chose to enter everything and share in case my dinner was a more recent updated version. Even with having to be careful to scan or enter the right food, this app is still very easy. My only real complaint is the pop ups asking if I want to upgrade to Premium from Free. I have accidentally hit yes several times and closed out when I got the confirm screen. The Free app provides everything I need. It takes the guesswork out of everything. If you want the Lose It! app to tell you healthy patterns in your weight loss journey (such as they noticed that on the days you eat cheese you consume less calories) or track how much water you consume, Premium might be right for you. Great job Lose It! Maybe decrease those popups and delete some of the outdated entries?
  • Not much support

    By Randune-89
I love the app and love how it does so much for me. I was not happy when they took away the step-feature from my Fit Bit and now you have to pay to upgrade to premium in order to have it sync with LoseIt. Regardless, I logged my meals for two years straight and never heard a PEEP from LoseIt...some support system you have there.
  • Amazing!

Thanks to this app I’ve managed to lose five pounds already within the past few weeks!
  • Great app!

This app is easy to use to log what you eat. It has just the right amount of encouragement...not corny-level but genuinely helpful. So glad I found it. P.S. Have lost over 55 pounds using this app.
  • Best app

    By amp684472
I love this app, I think the features are amazing. The scan food feature makes tracking calories painless. Tons of foods listed, has helped me loose weight and maintain. Also helps me get back on track when I’ve gotten careless.
  • Family Sharing not for Subscriptions

    By Gk904
Buyer beware. Even though the app says they support family sharing, that is only for the free app, not the paid subscription. You and your wife want to use it? That’ll be two premium subscriptions please.
  • Easy to use

    By Simui4ever
Logging the food is easier than I thought. They gave a huge installed library. I wish the features I cant use were hidden(morning snack) and I don’t want to upgrade. I like that I don’t get a ton of push ads. I have the basic package and they try had to get me to upgrade but that’s ok.
  • Eh but more than 2 stars

    By Charlie2427
I’m upping my review from 2 stars to 3. While I still think that it is BS that you need a premium account to sync your Fitbit they gave a horrendously cheap upgrade for the year for the app so I caved and I am giving it a shot. Honestly I don’t see the big difference between basic and regular and if it wasn’t given out at a major discount I wouldn’t have even bothered with it. They offer “insight and meal plans” all the things you forget to read and don’t really care about. What I would like to see is more in depth nutrients. How much iron is in this food what about potassium even if they are estimates it is nice to see. I am actually amazed that it’s not available. I would also like more options on the water button for make it more convenient instead of just 8oz add a 4 and 12 oz too. When this subscription is over I can’t see myself renewing it. It’s just a basic tracker, nothing special.

Lose It makes losing weight I gained during a three week evacuation due to fires a simple process. I can see how long it took to lose ten pounds when I used the app two years ago, and what worked, and just copy that! This makes it easier and increases my willpower.
