  • Best app for tracking macros

    I started on my journey to lose weight and get in shape. 220lbs my target weight was 180. Started dieting and eating less and healthy. But i just couldn’t lose the weight like i wanted. I would get stuck at a weight. Once I downloaded lose it things changed. I was able to plug in my stats and it did all the work. Being able to scan all the foods and plug them in really opened my eyes to how many calories i was really intaking. Needless to say mow 179.2lbs as of this review thanks to lose it helping me stay on track with the macros.

    If you really want to track ALL your progress and results in an app, Lose It Premium is the way to go!! It is very simple to use and it is updated almost daily with new foods and information. You can drill down to specific goals you want to track like Hydration and Body Fat. This is a great app, invest in it and by doing so you will invest in yourself.....you won’t be disappointed!

    I like the app. It helps keep me on track. The one reason I’m giving it 4 stars is it’s hard to find the right food sometimes. Certain things aren’t listed from restaurants and for example one chicken you can choose from ounces the other in cups. There is no centralized unit of measurement. Yes I know things are measured differently but all chicken should be the same for measurements. So I’m not sure if I’m picking the right thing sometimes when I’m eating. Other then that it’s great.

    Wish I were losing more weight but it’s my age more than anything. This app makes me completely accountable which is what I need! It helps! Gets easier after using it the first day. It also calculates how much I can take in which is a big shocker. Exercise is what saves me every day.

    I love the app. However I also need to track sodium and the app is weak on sodium count. Sodium amounts are absent from many foods.

    As a good journal and calorie tracker it’s easy to use and intuitive. Those are the pluses. The minus - and this was the deal breaker for me after daily use for 7 weeks - the foods index is terrible. Multiple listings for common foods. Weird measurements - fresh pineapple was listed as “quantity of chunks” but no option for grams or ounces? Many foods had macros that added up to way more calories than the serving listed, or had no macros at all. I weigh my food and track macros - specifically protein, so having so many foods with no protein listed or serving sizes that were other than by gram or ounce made it frustrating to use.

    This is absolutely the best health app I have ever used to lose weight. I lost 30 lbs. the first time and on my way to losing more. I definitely recommend this app to everyone who encounters it. Give it a shot. Enjoy!
