LinkedIn App Reviews

  • Hurts your career

LinkedIn crams so much garbage into the feed: ads, click bait, up sells, Lynda classes that will be a red flag on your resume—it all gets in the way of connecting with your business contacts. Really toxic and user-hostile. Did you know every like spams your contacts, announcing you have nothing better to do? LinkedIn’s responses here are empty appreciation/not sorry, dismiss as feedback, or divert to a link. Edit: called it! Mobile team ducked and ran

Liked the way it was before .
  • Another chronological nightmare

It seems that LinkedIn has joined the ranks of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter I’m not giving us posts in chronological order. The app is useless for this and on the site itself, while you can toggle to “most recent “ it still jumbles the lists up...gives you like 5 that were just posted then back to 1d, 4d, 1w, etc. I’m not seeing the people and posts I want to which means in return, people are not seeing mine either. However I’m also seeing the same “news’ post over and over for days now by a contact of mine. No one is commenting on it or liking it to bump it, it’s just permanently on my feed. (And seeing Stormy Daniels’ face every day is NOT why I use LI.) One more than thing...what is with the moving columns? Especially on safari I’ll try to just scroll down and the feed column starts to move around the page, or a column gets dragged around while I’m trying to read something. Please put the page in a fixed position, it’s ridiculous trying to navigate it right now. I use LinkedIn a lot. It’s a go to place for me. But it is very much getting to be non-user friendly and just more aggravating than helpful.

    - Can’t control notifications properly. Some aren’t mutable. - Tapping on profile links in about section crashes the app every time. Update: now it seems like it won’t crash, but tapping me on view doesn’t open the URL. - Unfollowing doesn’t unfollow. Reopening the “following” page shows “unfollowed” users, which in reality are still followed.

  • How do I share my profile?

    3
    By Marisa17M
Why isn’t this the easiest thing in the world to do? When I search the help forums, they just tell me about the desktop application. I want to know how to share my profile from a mobile device. Horrible UX/UI design.

App recently keeps crashing just when I get to an article I want to read. Very frustrating.

Just remember work history and profile informative have not been verified! Many people put college and degree profiles, beware ! Not true! People who provide false information should be scored as unable to validate! Un trusted profiles! Let’s score people !

Keeps saying I have no new, new connection requests, messages, or jobs
  • Latest version keeps crashing on iPhone X

The latest version hangs more often than not. Overall, good for a professional social network and keeping in touch with coworkers that you do not want on other social networks. Ever since they moved jobs into a separate app, this seems fragmented and less useful unless u use it to increase ur prof network
