Lifesum: Diet & Macro Tracker App Reviews

  • Beware metric measurements only!

This is a beautiful app, appealing in many ways. Unfortunately, the usefulness of eating guidelines and recipes with measurements only in metric units is limited. Contacted the company and no setting for ounces et al. So good if this is native to you, otherwise need to convert or estimate...not likely to be my go to, sad after purchasing a year of premium access.
  • Good App

It’s very good app, I’m always used myfitnesspal”, but I was looking for a change and I found this app, it’s encouraging, I like it . The only thing that I think that should need to have , its the option to add your own recipes and get the calories, like my fitness app”. But for the rest it’s a great app, the scan food it’s excellent. I want to remark that I am using the app without the membersy, only the free options.

    Love the app
  • Looks great, but too expensive

I would happily pay once for the ability to adjust macros, but I can’t justify paying a subscription fee for that. Other apps offer that functionality for no cost at all.

Hi! I got the premium plan for 6 months and it won’t let me access any of the features. I have the receipt from apple. I tried exiting out a few times and it still won’t recognize that I have paid. Please help!
  • Horrible Database in US, Beautiful App

    2
    By Applelights
This app is absolutely stunning visually and adopts all of iOS functionality including helpful Apple Watch widgets. The big problem continues to be the database size and accuracy. When compared to MyFitnessPal it’s simply a drop in the bucket database size wise. You may not notice if you have a lot of the same things but when out and about most things it doesn’t find or very often the data is quite wrong and not a great system for reporting and editing wrong data. Ideally most all the data Lifesum would get straight from partnerships with supermarkets, sellers, brands, restaurants, etc rather than people that tons of the same items with many inaccuracies. The latest update says they have greatly increased speed but I’ve never done anything in the app where I thought it should happen faster. In the USA at least I think there is 0 chance they will resolve the database issue unless they are bought by a large American company like Apple or Nike. Otherwise you have to settle for that major limitation or use MFP and settle for there more boring spreadsheet style interface since while it would be much easier for under armor to redesign there’s, I doubt that company has plans to do so any we should only expect minor feature updates unless company sold to a design based company. Also support is non existent. Go weeks without hearing back.

I downloaded this app, but I can’t sign in. I deleted my account and signed up with another email. I signed up, but it has been loading for 2 days. Please fix this.

I’m not paying a total subscription cost up front for premium feature for an app I’m not even sure I’ll like. Maybe have a 1 week free trial. If it was a monthly fixed rate and could cancel at anytime then yeah I would. There are so many free and free trail apps out there.
  • Great app, easy to use!

This app is very easy to use. It also is visually sleek and pretty. I love the helpful reminders and encouraging tips. The only thing that’s making this not a five star review is the fact that finding the right foods is a little bit tricky in the search menu option. I haven’t really used the photo capturing method, but I’ll give that a try and give another review. So far so good, I’ve lost 5 pounds in one week!! yay!!!
