Except your monthly subscription payment becomes a DAILY subscription payment. The publisher is dead set on limiting your play time with a scarce resource of stamina/energy to do anything ingame. When you do start a battle, it will cost alot of energy aswell. Couple this with the fact that this game is an rpg, where HEAVY grinding is required, your playtime will end before you have made any progress. The game itself is an awesome experience with love put into it by the developer. The publisher is simply the one holding it back with forced game mechanic restrictions.

Animation is beautiful and the story has had time and effort put into it, all in all a great way to help the time pass.

I love it. It’s free to play and there is just so much love and care in it. The only real complaint that I have is that the English dubbing is pretty meh. Like, very meh. But other than that, it’s this massive sprawling adventure with nice laid back atmosphere. I love that I can say that this game is pretty chill in the most relaxing way possible.

I’ve been looking for a good Gatcha game for a while now. I originally liked Langrisser but epic 7 just does everything better. Graphics and animations are beautiful, combat feels much more dynamic than Rock Paper Scissors, progression feels much more fluid, etc. I could go on and on. You don’t need a whole lot of time investment either, as you can level up while offline after progressing enough through the story, which is fantastic by the way, especially for a f2p. I’ve read a few reviews about horrible drop rates but I’m not sure if I’ve had good luck or if they’re just flat out wrong. I’ve gotten 3 five star heroes and 2 four star heroes since I started 2 weeks ago, along with 2 five star artifacts and a handful of four stars. I haven’t even finished the main story yet. I think if you aren’t looking for anything specific in particular you always have a chance of getting something good. Of course you need to get dupes if rare character drops to min max your team but it’s far from necessary unless you invest heavily into the pvp in this game, which I haven’t yet. I think this game has just continued to surprise me and I can’t wait to see where the devs take this game.
