MultiGauge App Details

MultiGauge App is designed to function with the PLX Devices Multi Gauge Link hardware interface. The Multi Gauge Link includes a Bluetooth LE wireless communication protocol designed to work seamlessly with this app. PLX Devices sensor modules can be connected in a daisy-chain and the Multi Gauge Link is connected to the last sensor module in the chain to transmit sensor data to your smart phone for visual display. Compatible Hardware: Multi Gauge Link SM-PRO - Fluid Temp, Exhaust Gas Temp, Air Intake Temp, Fluid Pressure, Vac/Boost SM-AFR - Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Module Compatible Hardware Combinations: SM-AFR + MultiGauge Link. SM-Vac/Boost + MultiGauge Link. SM-AFR + SM-Vac/Boost + MultiGauge Link. SM-PRO + SM-AFR + MultiGauge Link SM-PRO + MultiGauge Link SM-Pro is a combined sensor module for accurately measuring Vac/Boost, Exhaust Gas Temperature, Air Intake Temperature, Fluid (Oil/Water) Temperature, and Fluid Pressure. Includes genuine Honeywell 3Bar Vac/Boost sensor (built-in), wires/connectors for digital interface with DM-6, DM-100/200, MultiGauge Link. Also includes analog outputs for interfacing with 3rd party ECU's and data loggers. The SM-AFR Gen4  Sensor Module is a tuner grade Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband oxygen sensor controller with digital/analog outputs for 3rd interface. Accurately reads the air/fuel ratio of any internal combustion from 0.68 Lambda to 1.36 Lambda (10:1 - 20:1 AFR *Gasoline). Fully plug and play, no sensor calibration is required. Compatible with Gasoline, Diesel, Ethanol, Methanol, E85, LPG, CNG. Accurate to 0.1AFR with less than 100mS reaction time from rail to rail. Advanced sensor health monitoring, displays oxygen sensor health and reaction time when connected to DM-6 gauge or to your smartphone via the Multi Gauge Link interface. The SM-Vac/Boost Sensor Module accurately measures the vacuum pressure and boost pressure of any intake manifold. This is ideal for turbo and supercharged applications where monitoring the intake pressure is vital. The Vacuum / Boost Sensor Module can also be used as a stand alone unit capable of interfacing with 3rd party hardware where both the digital output and the analog output are available simultaneously. Its measurement range is 30.5 inHg to 30 PSI or 760 mmHg to 2.11 Kg/cm^2. Connect this sensor module via the Multi Gauge Link interface for a boost gauge on your smartphone. With the latest release of the app we are able to get an awesome layout that I have really enjoyed by also being a Kiwi user. Seeing it have the same look gives it a great appeal when using the PLX apps. Really enjoying seeing multiple sensors on the one lay out.
  • Latest update ruined this app

With the addition of the SM-Pro the app was Re-written and from that I can see wasn’t QC’d much if any. There is no keep alive in this version so get used to your screen going black in 30 seconds or so. This is a pain if you plan to use this app in any vehicle while driving. The middle gauge stutters no matter what gauge you select (this is on an XS Max, no CPU is not an issue). The boost function is grossly off as in it registers 4-5 lbs of boost when there is 13-14 (yes all the vacuum lines are snug). Vacuum pressure seems fine. If you get a phone call the app will freeze and hang up completely. The list goes on. I really hope they correct these issues as I am out over $500 now on a pretty much useless set of products.

Sometime it will connect instantly. Other times, it won’t connect at all. I’m a bit disappointed with this app thus far.
  • Needs iPhone X & Apple Watch Support!

Needs iPhone X & Apple Watch Support! Also, PLX allows no other third party like Track Addict to access this MultiGauge Link, making it a one trick pony! Do yourself a favor and do t but it until they open it up with an SDK! Is this app dead?! No updated in a YEAR!
  • It does not connect!

I am using this to view my SM-AFR wideband and it works fine BUT you have to close the app before you restart the car or try to view the display again because it will freeze. I don’t know if maybe this is limited to the iPhone X or not.

I've used PLX widebands for years. This is a great update from my DM6 gauge where I don't need to permanently mount my hardware. With the MultiGauge link I just launch the app and it connected right away. All of my sensor modules are detected automatically and I've got all my data right here on my iPhone. I'm looking forward to this app supporting more sensor modules. Works great, connected without having to pair my Bluetooth and data comes in quick. Nice!!!
