  • Non Synchronization option in iOS 10.3.3

I have been led to believe that PI 5.4 is the only Version of pocket informant which can handle iOS 12. I am enjoying some of the advanced features. I remain concerned, that the lack of a reliable non synchronization option per task, I.e. old completed tasks, dooms it to an eventual break in synchronization, once the synchronization load becomes too great. I am hopeful that this will eventually be remedied. There is a folders method of trying to take things out of synchronization with this version, but again, for how I operate, this seems unreliable.
  • My favorite calendar app is dead after IOS12

After upgrading to IOS 12, Informant no longer links/syncs with the default iPhone calendar. My calendar is empty now and the app is unusable as is. What’s the deal?
  • The best of the best all in one calendar and reminder app on the App Store

Fantastic layout, design and ease of use. I utilize the Calendar and Reminder integration features and find Informant quite easy to learn and use. I don’t want or need all the “advanced” features, so I turn them off. There are a couple of inconsistencies here and there within the app, but nothing that gets in the way of my productivity.

I’ve used it since my Pocket PC days. It continues to improve. Well worth the cost.

I have used this app since I used a blackberry. The enhancements over the years has been fantastic BUT this latest upgrade although I have purchased add ones in the past now has yearly subscriptions. Please! I will no longer use and feel cheated!
  • The best, one last fix Please!

Well, they fixed the time picker YEAH! ....... but they didn’t do a thing about the awful calendar month picker .... ................. PLEASE REMOVE THE SCROLLER ... JUST GIVE US THE 12m PICKER ..... MUCH QUICKER THAN SCROLLING! What happen? Why wasn’t that yearly month selection view returned? Bah Hum Bah with the real estate answer. That sliding/scrolling month thing is equally disgusting. * just give us the full year month selection view back and it becomes an easy 5 STARS, no reasons for scrolling It’s still the best out there! But no excuses to have a lousy month selection ..... They can’t say it’s to save real estate ..... to have all months visible for simple one tap selection is the best choice .... a one touch solution. Stubborn!

So glad they’ve updated the roller dial to a time-picking display with buttons! Makes it so much easier and faster now to schedule my events!!! I’ve been around the world and back when it comes to productivity apps and this app finally feels like home!! Tried Todoist for the longest and many others but no other app can combine calendar events with tasks as seamlessly as this!! Update: I had to come back just to make sure I wrote a review for this!! It’s been about 3 months now and I’m still going strong with this app!! It’s so customizable and does everything I need it to. I love how you can select colors for certain tasks you want to stand out. I love the Focus screen where I can select exactly what I want to see to have a productive day! The look and feel of the app is clean and doesn’t feel overwhelming at all!! Keep up the great work!

I’ve been a fan and a promoter of Pocket Informant for many years. But am dismayed at the tactics the company has gone to by using the trend of subscription based services. I’ve been forced to use this new Informant because I can no longer enter the Informant app I paid for and paid for upgrades over the years. WARNING To pre - Informant 5 users, don’t go into settings to make a change. You will loss access to your existing Informant and ALL of your previous data unless you subscribe to their new subscription based platform. I was version 4.94.44 from what I can see before being redirected to the upgrade website. As I said I’m not a fan of these new subscription based platform’s, and feel betrayed that they are forcing people into using it because they are fans of the Informant line of management software.

I have been using informant since it was on Palm. It has so much potential, but ultimately fails to deliver. It has the “ability” to combine google cal, iOS reminders, and Apps like TickTick all Into one place. That has always been my dream app. I very much use my phone as an “external” brain. I almost depend on being able to reliable access my information easily. And in my experience that’s were Informant falls sort. My biggest problem was with “smart lists” & iOS reminders. It seems there is a bug that causes the app to reset smart lists every day if you use iOS reminders. That’s very frustrating and even more frustrating is having their support basically tell you, they weren’t going to fix it because not that many people use that feature. It seems like they are just bloating their app with half hearted features to get people to pay for it. I’m finally giving up on informant and sticking with Fantastic and TickTick. The one good thing I will say is that Informant has the best month view options and layout over any app I’ve seen.
