  • Better than staring at a wall...

Works relatively well but dropouts with the Apple Watch can be a bit annoying. I also really wish they would allow you to choose which course to ride. It’s been on the wishlist for a long time. I also had a lost connection after an hour of riding and lost an hours worth of data working toward a challenge. I don’t understand why they can’t add that back into your account, especially if you have the fit file. Hopefully that can be rectified soon. Frustrating, but only has happened once to me so far.
  • Intermittent operation

This app struggles to work consistently. What works one day may not work the next. As a training tool, this severely limits it’s effectiveness. With scheduled races and workouts, a person needs to devote several hours of test time prior to each event to test that days state of operation and debugging any issues. In many cases, issues are not revealed until an event/race/workout starts. As a service which wants a constant $15 per month payment for spotty and intermittent operation, this is becoming a losing proposition. Things have not improved in a year of service, only new courses are released, but no apparent improvement in stability.
  • No ability to change setting

You are either riding or watching in this app. There is limited ability to change setring, connection to trainers is delayed and sluggish. You cannot change the card connected to subscription, subscription continue to charge even when you have requested to cancel, and worst of all zwift is nearly impossible to contact to receive any assistance and help. Buyer beware.
  • No way to cancel

I have been trying to contact the app developer to cancel the monthly subscription and month over month keep getting charged. About to call the bbb.
  • Took forever to cancel

Got the free trial from purchasing an indoor trainer. Didn’t love it and decided to cancel before automatic purchase. Can not cancel through app or website and took over 2 hours to finally get rid of it. Will never consider paying for now! Beyond annoying.
  • Cumbersome

My review is for use of the Zwift app on Apple TV 4K. And...it’s poor. If ever there was a software program, or app, that appeared to fail at keeping up with Apple TV 4K’s capability... Zwift is it. Refresh rate and graphics are poor. Mind you, I’m running this on my LG OLED 65”, which also appears to be too overpowered for Zwift. Nothing about the riding experience seems real. It’s cartoon land. No shadows, spotty rendering, and very unrealistic rider movements. It would appear the Zwift iPhone app, is the same as the Zwift AT4K, just blown up... which makes the clarity and graphics exposed for the worse. I had numerous instances where my on screen pedaling cadence did not match what I was actually doing. In fact, my on screen rider stopped a couple times, while I was pedaling. One would think, if you start pedaling faster, your avatar would as well. Didn’t appear to in my experience. You can’t just jump on and ride, it’s not accurate enough. Next, the remote... just don’t use it. The only way to navigate the UI is with long finger swipes, which only moves you one spot on screen. Probably the most cumbersome feature. Next is the price. I could see paying $5.99 a month for this product, but not 3x that amount. Seems like a rip off, for what I perceived as an under developed iOS app, NOT a virtual reality cycling trainer. In a perfect world, Zwift would develop this app in line with graphics and capabilities you see in games like Call of Duty and, or Battlefield. I’d gladly pay a couple hundred dollars for lifetime access to a product of that caliber. Very disappointed, as I purchased a new Wahoo KICKR, on the premise Zwift would be my go-to indoor riding experience. Unfortunately it won’t be.
  • Latest update July 18th on iPhone

Was working perfectly (with an occasional minor issue) for the last year + until the update. Both my wife and I have had countless WiFi drops, Wahoo Kickr stops responding to grade changes etc. Complete disaster for us. I have an iPhone X and she uses an iPhone 8. Both having a terrible user experience since update. Deleted and reinstalled app, checked WiFi connection, did a spin down etc. Nothing is helping. Been zwifting since almost the beginning of Zwift, never had such a horrible user experience. Side note...I hear we are getting another crappy Richmond type course that nobody likes in exchange for a hefty price increase coming up for legacy users. For the record, the only reason people Zwift is for Watopia. Maybe we can get more worlds like that sometime instead of all these UCI course remakes?
  • Love app (would like iPad 1 compatibility)

Fantastic app and concept! Would love to have compatibility with older iPads though... Can you justify why the older ipads cannot run the app?

Really impressed with Zwift. It does all I need it to do and has really helped to Improve my fitness. I don’t do many events or “free riding”, just mostly structured workouts I created and some of the ones on Zwift. If you are using an iPhone or iPad like me; I would highly suggest getting a dongle and an hdmi cord and plug the iPhone or iPad into a tv. Makes it so much better. Take care, be well, train smart:
