Truebill Budget & Bill Tracker App Reviews

  • Magazine Subscriptions

I had four magazine subscriptions of the type that you're not aware are going to automatically renew. Truebill seemed to have found them, all seemingly owned by Time, Inc.: Real Simple, Readers Digest, Oprah and National Geographic. After a few days I was sent an email telling me that cancellation was a success and Truebill had saved me $22.50. However, that amount was for either Readers Digest or Oprah. The other three subscriptions were not cancelled and Truebill doesn't answer emails and there is no contact in their app. So I'll give two stars here. Also your list of cable companies doesn't include mine. So far I'm not finding much to use the app for and it certainly isn't seamless, is it? Oh and yes, I paid for the Truebill.

I love using this app to lower my monthly bills! They lowered my bills for my internet and cell phone without sacrificing the quality of my service. Saved me a whopping $450 for the whole year. This is my new go-to app! Please stay forever😍
  • Linking bank account required

If you’re looking for an app to keep track of your budgeting and NOT link your bank account to, this isn’t the app to get. You can enter all of your bills but cannot enter your income without linking your bank account.
  • Ripoff!!

Don’t bother purchasing premium, they will tell you they can’t get overdraft fees refunded because they don’t work with all banks after advertising they can.

I had Truebill negotiate my cell phone bill and within 24 hours they increased my savings by $240! And I didn’t have to spend my time on the phone speaking with reps.

  • TrueBill Lies 😖

I was pretty pumped to try this ap out - track my bills, see spending trends, and maybe even save some money! What could go wrong? Well, they’re crooks, that’s what. I submitted to TrueBill to get my Comcast bill “negotiated,” to which they achieved by canceling my modem rental. When I saw this order confirmation come through my email from Comcast, I immediately called to reverse it. Comcast said that “I” called earlier that day to cancel the rental because “I have my own modem.” Rather than admit their mistake when I confronted TrueBill, a representative - Jessica - showed me zero understanding and was incredibly rude (and still is - I’m in the process of disputing the charge). So, moral of the story, unless you want to give your money to a scam, don’t download this ap and manage you bills the old-fashioned way.
