Which I guess is the point, but I always try to make it through and never succeed!" - itsmeyoyeah "I haven't slept all night without a sleep aid in ages. I've only had (slumber) for two nights and I haven't slept like these two nights probably since I was a carefree kid! I have the Calm app which also has bedtime stories and that was ok; but still not a full night sleep and not a lot of variety. Definitely not the control of content like this app provides. I was really surprised to see apps like this cropping up in the App Store. Who knew adults can use bedtime stories as well? Well, aside from the devs that is. The one issue I have with this app is that there really is not a way to change the volume of the narrator’s voice like you can with all the other background sounds. The narrator’s voice gets muddied by the background sounds on my Echo (2nd gen). Yes I can turn all the other sounds down but I want to hear them AND the narrator. I want to hear him clearly. I’ve turned my bass and midrange down all the way and the treble up all the way but it doesn’t help. Because of the deep voice blending with the background, I start thinking of the teacher in Charlie Brown... "Wa wah waahh." Fix that and this will be 100% in my book and an app I’ll keep paying for!

Yes, I know I’m shouting in my title, but this app is worthy of it. I was in an accident 2 years ago and have had a hard time sleeping ever since due to constant pain and tension in my neck. This app helps me so much so that I’m actually sleeping through the night again, and very deeply on top of that. Before Slumber, it wasn’t unusual for me to wake up 4-6 times a night in pain, so you can imagine how THANKFUL I am. SO GRATEFUL for everyone at Slumber! God bless y’all!❤️😴❤️
  • Update needed

I love the sleep stories but have been listening to same free ones for months. It won’t let me upgrade to premium. If you would update to be compatible with last iPhone OS update I could get more sleep stories and you would get my $$ for premium upgrade. Update: I’m still waiting to sign up for premium. You haven’t added anything to free in months.

The story feature is exactly what I needed. Serves the same purpose as a movie or lecture without having to watch a bright screen or engage with the information.

So many choices, I love the stories. I had a meditation app already, which helps, but my mind would wander. If you're following the guided meditation story, it keeps you on track. You can also pick the background sounds, mine usually being a gentle rain and some birds. I love it.
