Dots & Co: A Puzzle Adventure App Reviews

  • Game makers respond to issues and frequently update.

My update almost a year later, 11/24/17. Since Two Dots is my favorite app of all time, I was excited when the third game in the franchise came out! And lives up to the standards Two Dots has set—quick response time from developers, frequent updates and new components with almost every update. Challenges, that use tickets instead of regular play lives, are a fun way to build up supplies of lives and boosters. They also run for a couple of days, so I’m sure to find time to complete a new challenge. There are some new and unique components, like turtles and "companions" that each have a different power to help you finish a round. The game is visually interesting. While there are some aspects of D&Co that are similar to its predecessors, (eraser, ice blocks, lotus flowers are renamed, but have the same use, but no videos to allow you to earn energy levels). I am current with all levels and am writing this review after completing a challenge. I haven’t had to spend any money just to pass levels, as some reviewers have stated. I haven’t spent a dime in the years I’ve been playing all the Dots games. ***That being said, I am going to buy booster boxes, not that I need to, on Two Dots just to show appreciation to the game makers for their effort in keeping this the best game app!!!*** I wish Two Dots had the option to continue a level using the bolt-like gold, instead of having to pay a buck to do so—which I don’t. Some levels on both games may take me a day or two to pass, but it IS possible. I only wish Dots & Co. released updates with more levels as often as its predecessor, although they did mention on last update new levels in December. In addition, the *option* to watch videos to earn boosters would be appreciated.

Love the game but the wait time between new levels seems way too long. And there should be a way to win power ups besides buying them, there were special levels to finish to win them but that disappeared, unfortunate.
  • Not worth it anymore!!!

Boring boring boring game!!! It’s always the same and every level harder and boring than the previous one. There si nothing new and very few incentives. Actually if you don’t pay, don’t even bother because you aren’t going nowhere. No creativity no stimulus no rewards NOTHING!!!!! Bad game!!!
  • Fun but feels like you have to pay

You get to a point where you feel like you need to play, and that’s not really cool. Orherwise, very well made game.
  • Love it but wish for more lives/boosters

I like how this game plays and it’s so cute! I do wish that, like Two Dots, there was an option to watch an add to get more lives (especially since it takes 30% longer to get a new life than Two Dots), and more daily booster drops. I know you can pay for them but that is a slippery slope. Previous review: Absolutely love that they support human rights and are encouraging users to donate to the ACLU. Keep doing good work!!
  • Love the game but needs more levels

The game needs more levels added more frequently. It’s easily one my favorites but I get bored of waiting for new levels to be added.
  • Agree with other reviewers—beware!

It’s a fun one....but would pay for the App, no problem, if it wouldn’t be such a money grab at every turn. Beware of this game if you have an addictive personality.
