I’ve been using Auxy for little over two years, it’s the only DAW I actually do use and this new update won’t even let me have the original sounds?
I was actually considering doing the yearly update so I can import some sounds but this is just bull.
Amazing app, amazing developers and more!
Tl;dr - Get this.
There's not much to say that hasn't been said by others. Back when this app was still only on iPad, I submitted an email requesting a change to the key system to be more appropriate to music. I got a response and the feature was actually implemented the next update, which was rather incredible. Not only this but I ended up becoming a beta tester for the app when it first moved to iPhone, THIS version. It had some problems sure, but I helped to work out some kinks. It has evolved so much since then, and even though due to school I couldn't continue beta testing I am so glad the app has done so well. They really care about the people using the app.
It's simplicity at its finest. While many features of traditional notation are absent, Auxy more than makes up for it in the realm of modern music. I would love to see additions such as tempo changes in the future, but even that can be worked around, same for compound time signatures as well.
Keep this app going strong.
I like this app, but I used to like it more until they took away most of the drum pads that I used to mess around with. All the songs I had made only got messed up through tempo changes, and I can no longer make and songs with those older pads. So it’s safe to say that I don’t like this update.
Went from hero to zero
Dev just copies and pastes a generic response to the complaint about the subscriptions based model insinuating that the complaint is about a desire for free things when it’s not. It’s a dislike for a monthly fee. You are better off getting any competing product now because it will be cheaper than Auxy in the long run. Auxy will be dead in a year because of this. This is either a mistake that will be corrected, abandonware with one last money grab attempt before it bites the dust, or they were bought out by some random basic dev that wants to milk it dry.

So i used to love this app, i got it when it was a paid app and it was great, a simple fun (and beautiful) production software that was great for taking ideas down on the fly, but after this update this app is completely ruined, I can no longer access the sounds that I paid for (the original sound pack) and I'm honestly disgusted!
Simply an amazing app. I wouldn’t have been able to make music without its beginner interface. I’ve spent 2 years with this app and have created songs so memorable to me. Auxy has given me something to cherish and for that I really respect you guys. Great job, you deserve 6 stars for your hard work, amazing interface, easy workflow, and unique sounds. This truly is the future of music and I’m excited to be a part of it.
The update has just taken another customer
If you are going to respond, don’t respond with what you sent four others when they complained about the update, do not respond with “we are sorry you don’t like the new version! As a customer we know it’s better to get something free...” if you are don’t respond at all because that shows you do not care for your customers and just want their money, I know it costs money to have an app on the App Store, I’m sure it is some but I doubt it’s more than 45 dollars consistently, and if it is, my mistake but what I want to say is Hey auxy I understand you need to make money but please set the drums how they used to be or do something because I used to use your app every day non stop 24/7 and ever since this stupid drum update came out I can’t make beats and songs like I used to :( I have basically moved on to other apps such as medley and I download some software on my computer but having your app as it is almost useless unless you pay the subscription, I loved your app and how simple it was and it was so much easier than other computer softwares and I preferred it over Ableton sometimes, anyway thx for all the songs and fun tracks I made and submitted to Ableton and me and friends would make awesome songs just to listen to. I love the way the app was and it USED to be able to top all the other music making programs on mobile and some on pc. Sorry, but I will not be purchasing, endorsing, sharing, liking, or using your app any further unless it is back the way it used to be. Goodbye -sincerely, a lost customer.
I love this app and I wanted to buy sound packs individually, but this new subscription service has turned me off. I think $5 a month is much too high. I would have much rather paid for the app and even paid for add-ons after that, IF I wanted to. But with the subscription model, it’s basically everything or almost nothing.
Auxy was perfect
I got this app a few months ago and have loved it. I was even planning on purchasing ALL the extra sound packs. However their switch to the new drum kit setup and subscription killed my thought of giving them any of my money.
$60 a year please.
I don't do subs for apps like this, I pay once and done or don't I bother.
Got rid of my sounds
I have had this app for a long time and have continually loved it for its easy-to-use interface and great sounds and instruments. I loved that, unlike all of the other apps, it allowed me to use an adequate amount of sounds for me to mess around with for free, which was great by me, because it allowed me to make a lot of really cool things. I loved the app, and it made me want to use it more and more every time I got on to work more on my projects. Then the app upgraded. And now I have 3 choices of percussion instead of however much I previously had (20ish) and most of the percussion instruments are premium only. I have a project on the app for school and went to go and edit the percussion element, and I couldn’t add a new track to it. I loved the app, but until things get fixed so I can actually use more things than like 3 things without having to deal with managing a premium account, I’m done with it.
Edit: I just tried to make something with the new update, and apparently when I close out of an instrument, I’m not allowed to go back and edit the instrument unless I have premium? I know you guys weren’t making sufficient money, but it’s maybe a better idea for marketing purposes if you didn’t do that. Also, I’m no mathematician, but I can see that because of the new update, many people who have previously used this app and loved it are giving it up. There are more complaints about the update than comments, and I didn’t even have to scroll that far to know it was true. I know you had this decision to make, and I know that you weren’t making much money off of it, but wouldn’t you rather have satisfied users than some people being peeved enough but not too much so that they pay for the premium version? It’s disappointing to me, because, to me, Auxy was the best music maker on mobile pretty much ever. It really worked with my style of making music. Now, it’s just about as useful to me as any of the other mobile music making apps.
Also, developers, it might also be a better idea if you responded with something other than a copy and paste of a message to some of the reviews here- some of your replies don’t address what was said in the review, and it makes it look really insincere. Please consider either going all the way and actually writing a response actually pertaining to the review, or just reading the reviews and taking the advice of the seemingly ubiquitous negative comments regarding the new update and do something about it to get you from losing users and potential customers.
